Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Our theme verse is somewhat too big for some to grasp. They wonder, “How can we be like God?” Well, we didn’t know we were like Him until He told us. We read it: as He is, so are we in this world. We’re like Him because we’re born of Him; we were created in the image of Him that created us (Colossians 3:10). Blessed be God!
Being born again, we have the same life and nature as Jesus. It’s the reason we can think, talk, and live as He did, for we’re one with Him: “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17).
The Bible says He’s the embodiment of all wisdom and knowledge: “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). The same is true of you because you’re complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). You’re the custodian of divine knowledge and wisdom, for John 1:16 says, “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” Hallelujah!
You’re full of God as Jesus was full of God, because you have received of His fullness. That’s not all: You’re the effulgence of His glory just as He was and is the glory of the Father. If you’d live with this consciousness, it’ll transform your life. You’d walk in victory and dominion over circumstances, every day. Hallelujah!
As Jesus is the glory of the Father, so am I in this world. God reigns, establishes, and spreads His righteousness on earth today through me, as I rule and reign in the dominion of Christ. Blessed be God!
